If you wish to enquire about such an application you may call to Customer Care Desk at the Passport Office in Dublin or Cork. You do not need an appointment for this service. ** Payment can be made via credit card\debit card, postal order, bank draft or cash in the Dublin and Cork Passport Offices. Payment in London Passport Office must be made by credit\debit card.

Appointments will only be accepted if you are traveling in 8 weeks or less otherwise you should apply by post. The average turnaround time if you apply through post is 35/40 working days.

Please note this applies to someone aged 18 or over who has never been issued an Irish Passport at any age. First-time adult applicants take a minimum of 20 working days.Click on yes button.

1. Proof of name: An original document showing proof of your name, such as a pay slip, college registration correspondence or social welfare receipts.Proof of name must be full name not initials.

2. Proof of address: This must be an original document, such as utility bills, bank statements, official correspondence from a public or private sector organisation e.g. it could include a hospital appointment or receipt from a waste disposal company.

** A completed and suitably witnessed passport application form and 4 photographs, 2 of which must be signed and the Form number inserted by the witness.
** Your Long form Birth Certificate and Civil Marriage Cert (if applicable)

Passport Service Terms & Conditions

** From 1st June 2018, cheques will no longer be accepted at the Passport Service public counters. Payment in London Passport Office must be made via Credit\Debit card.

** The Passport Service cannot be held liable for any costs incurred by an individual in attending the Passport Office.
** The Passport Service requires a minimum of three (3) working days from the day of your appointment to process an application.

** Applicants who have a history of lost/stolen/damaged passports may not be able to receive their passports in less than 10 working days.
** Printed proof of travel is required for all applicants travelling within 6-8 weeks
** All passports are issued in accordance with the Passports Act, 2008.
